Nic Widfeldt - Sound Recordist Wellington New Zealand
About me:
Āta Huri/Sound Speed
My name is Nic Widfeldt and I'm a Sound Recordist living in Wellington, New Zealand.
After working my way up the ladder of the Sound Department I'm now dedicating more time to recording.
I have taken great pride in mastering both Radio Mic-ing and Boom Operating and throughout my 12 years+ of experience I have found that that onset sound is only as good as the first microphone placement. Being a First and Second Assistant has not only provided me the opportunity to be part of a leading Sound Team on projects such as Time Bandits, Lord of the Rings (TV- series) and Mr. Corman, but also enabled me to work alongside some of the greatest Recordists/Mixers/Boom Operators of both New Zealand and the UK, who have all given me a strong foundation to stand on and prepared me to become the Sound Recordist I am today.
I'm no stranger to TV, Drama, Documentary or TVC/EPK and though I'm not ready to hang up the boom pole yet, it's now my active goal to make the leap to HOD. I'm comfortable taking the responsibility to get your production great sound, while I endorse working closly with both editorial and Post Production Sound. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your next project, Ngā Mihi
